114 Academic year Curriculum planning table

1. Students must fulfill the following requirements to graduate:
‧ Complete the university’s core curriculum requirements.
‧ Complete the college foundation courses.
‧ Complete the department’s core curriculum.
‧ Complete one of the department’s professional elective programs as the major field of the study.
‧ Achieve a total of 128 credits or more.

2. In addition to completing 6 required English credits from the university core curriculum, students
must pass the language center’s English proficiency test and submit proof of scores for registration.
Students meeting exemption criteria may apply for a waiver, and approved waivers will grant 6 credits
toward graduation requirements. Applications follow the university’s “Guidelines for Waiving Core
Curriculum Courses”.

3. Students admitted from the 2007 academic year onwards must follow the course requirements of
their admission year. However, credits from newly added courses in subsequent years can count
toward their program credits.

4. Rules for course selection:
(1) Students must follow the course schedule outlined in the curriculum plan and may not exceed 25
credits per semester. With the approval of the advisor and department chair, students may take up
to 30 credits.
(2) A minimum of 3 credits per semester is required. Exceptions include extended study periods or
internships approved by the university.
(3) Courses with prerequisites must be completed before enrolling in the subsequent courses.
(4) Students retaking professional courses due to schedule conflicts may enroll in equivalent courses
offered by other departments (up to two courses per semester).
(5) Graduate students who completed graduate-level courses during their undergraduate studies with
passing grades (and those courses were not included in their undergraduate graduation credits)
may apply for credit transfer.
(6) Students taking mandatory courses in other departments, including graduate-level courses, must
obtain prior approval from the department and Curriculum Committee. Unauthorized courses will
not be recognized for credits.
(7) To avoid disputes regarding course difficulty or scope, courses from other departments must meet
departmental standards and, if necessary, pass an assessment by the Department Curriculum
Committee to be recognized.

5. Students under the curriculum of Academic Year 2024 or earlier who have not completed the required "Service Learning (I)" or "Service Learning (II)" credits may fulfill the requirement with University Core General Education Courses.

6. Overseas students admitted with qualifications equivalent to the “2 years high school + 3 years
undergraduate” education systems must complete an additional 12 credits from the department’s
professional elective courses.

7. Department students must take required information-related courses from the department to fulfill
the university’s core information technology course requirements. Any missing general education
credits may be compensated with approved elective core courses.

8. Starting from the 2017 academic year, students must complete the university’s “Cross-Domain
Autonomous Learning Certification” hours before graduation. Certification details follow the
guidelines set by the Office of Student Affairs.

9. The core mandatory course “Project in Information Management” requires completion over three
semesters, totaling 3 credits.
