Information about the admission to Ph.D. Program


Ph.D. Program, Department of Business Administration– Entry by Recommendation

Group

Information Management Group

Requirement

A graduate with a Maser’s degree from any college or university registered with Ministry of Education in Taiwan, or that in any foreign country recognized by Ministry of Education is entitled to apply. Those who have accomplished the equivalent level of education required for pursuing a Ph.D. degree are also entitled to apply.

Procedure

1. Candidates are to be informed, based on the documents submitted, to attend the Secondary Exam.
2. Secondary Exam: Oral Test

Documents Required

1. Ph.D. Research Plan
2. Original Copies: Transcripts (ranking included) of Master’s program and Bachelor’s program
3. Master’s Thesis (finalized version from both domestic and overseas candidates; overseas candidates without thesis as their graduation requirement shall explain) or evidence of outstanding academic performance, such as articles published, academic awards reviewed openly, etc.
4. Two pieces of “Letter for Recommendation” from two individuals.
5. Other academic or creative works.

The Department of Information Management will be in charge of the Information Management Group once the semester commences. New students shall make plans for their studies according to the rules and regulations of their groups; inter-group transferring is not allowed.

1. Preliminary Exam
  (1) Written Test: Management Information System (MIS)
  (2) Data Review
2. Secondary Exam: Oral Test

The Department of Information Management will be in charge of the Information Management Group once the semester commences. New students shall make plans for their studies according to the rules and regulations of their groups; inter-group transferring is not allowed.
